Pilates

Boxing-Pilates Viva Boxing + Pilates: the all in one class The Ultimate total body workout that combines fat-burning, energizing boxing moves with Pilates exercises that will tone and sculpt every muscle in your body. This fun-filled hour is perfect. Targets: arms, legs, abs, back and cardiovascular system (heart & lungs).

Mat Pilates Transform flab into sculpted muscle and energize your life! Slim your waist, stomach and hips; strengthen and tone your muscles; relieve back, wrist, neck and shoulder pain and melt away stress. You will leave each class standing taller, looking younger and be full of energy. Non-jarring exercises are tailored to fit each student’s body. Perfect for men/women, ages 15 and up and all fitness levels. Targets: Abs, back, posture, balance and flexibility.

Power Pilates Take your Mat Pilates to the next level with this fast-paced combo of standing and advanced Pilates exercises. You will build strength, endurance and you will sweat. Most have taken at least 20 Mat Pilates classes. For men/women ages 15 and up.

Yoga Yoga: The Ultimate Anti-aging and Stress-Buster Exercise!<br/> Stretch, tone and strengthen every part of your body in a slow, gentle way. Yoga-Pilates Yoga/Pilates Combo: Pilates abs combined with yoga postures that build strength and endurance to tone your whole body and calm/center your mind. Target: Balance, flexibility, stress release, abs, back and posture.

Cardio

Barre Class A one hour full body workout set to today’s hottest music and fuses ballet, pilates, sports conditioning and stretching. The moves are low impact but high intensity intervals of strength training followed immediately by deep recovery stretching. This regimented routine will evenly sculpt and quickly transform the entire body, resulting in a toned, trim physique. Classes begin with a warm up focusing on postural strength and alignment, followed by upper body exercises. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and for flexibility training. We end with core work and stretching. This is designed for ages 15 and over and all fitness levels. The program was developed to rehabilitate the body. Many of the stretches and strengthening exercises are endorsed sports medicine physicians and orthopedists.

Body Sculpting Body Sculpting Looking to tone and strengthen your entire body while burning calories and working up a sweat? This class combines strength training with stretching and cardio for a full body workout. Uses weights, bands and balls. For all fitness levels. Targets: Legs, arms, cardiovascular system (heart & lungs).

Bokwa An intense cardiovascular workout combined with South African war dance, Capoeira, Kickboxing and Steps. You will be doing fast paced, easy to follow movements to pulsating rhythmic beats of African, Latin, Popular dance and House music. You will sweat, tone your whole body, increase your stamina and endurance and feel on top on the world!!!! At the same time you will burn mega calories while stress and tension is replaced with joy and I can do anything attitude. For ages 13 and up, men and women who want a real cardio challenge. Targets: Legs, arms, cardiovascular system (heart & lungs).

Outdoor Boot Camp Energize your day with our AM outside boot camp (will be moved inside if there is inclement weather). Build and tone muscles, sweat off excess fat while you walk, jog, lunge, squat, and do stretches, balance and core building exercises all while enjoying the outdoors. For all fitness levels and ages 12 and up.

Outdoor Walk-Run Club Viva Outdoor Walk-Run Club Running or walking is more enjoyable and easier to stick with when done with others. Join our run/walk club to enjoy the outdoors, increase your motivation by being with other runners or walkers and learn techniques to enhance your running or walking as well as which running equipment is best for you and injury prevention and recovery tips. In each 75 minute session a certified fitness trainer that is a runner will lead the group a run or walk, warm-up and cool down, resistance training and proper stretching. Each participant will be paired up with a buddy that matches their skill level. For all fitness levels and ages 12 and up.

Zumba

Aqua Zumba Join the Zumba "pool party,” where you will tone every body part as you move to upbeat Latin and international music. For anyone that likes Zumba but doesn't want to get as hot as in the land-based classes or needs a low impact workout due to hip or knee replacements or other limitations. Since 80-90% of your body weight is in the water when the water is at your chest level, your knees, hips and back undergo less pounding and your body works four times harder than on land. One student recovering from a car accident loved to dance and bought her crutches to the poolside. She lay the crutches down, got in the water and got all the fun and flavor of the music without the impact on her feet. This is also an amazing workout for all fitness levels and ages. Targets: Legs, arms, cardiovascular system (heart & lungs).

Zumba Kids + Parents A dance ‘n’ play party for lil’ feet where pint-sized party animals and their parent/care-giver get silly, dream big and begin their journey to a healthy future. Private Instruction Do you want to stop guessing what exercise your body needs and start learning how your body is supposed to function? Then Private VIVA exercise sessions are for you. One hour sessions where you will learn your body’s proper alignment and what exercises will keep your mind, body and spirit energized. For ages 12 and up. All fitness levels welcome. Wear comfortable, exercise attire and a smile.

Specialty

Family Yoga Viva Family Yoga – The ultimate family bonding experience. Family Yoga is fun, joyful and peaceful. This 45 minute class begins with partner poses that kids and adults do together to upbeat music. Followed by age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing, movement games, and relaxation. This class builds confidence, self-esteem, and strong healthy bodies. Children and parents will practice how to focus and center themselves though breathing and relaxation. No yoga experience required. The class caters to children 5 and up. Bring the whole family, even grandparents, cousins and aunts, uncles. Price is per participant. Meditation This 30 minute guided and seated meditation class can be done on the floor or in a chair. All ages are welcome and no prior meditation experience needed. Each class can be modified to match a beginner or an experienced meditator.
